Today, we’re proud to announce the most exciting news in our history: Film Impact has joined Adobe.
Starting with Premiere 25.5, every transition and video effect from Film Impact is now fully integrated into Premiere as a built-in, first-party solution. No downloads. No installations. Just pure creative firepower, ready to go the moment you open your project.

When we launched Film Impact nearly 15 years ago, our vision was simple: make video transitions smarter, more dynamic, and more creative.
Back then, editors were limited by stock wipes and fades. We believed transitions could do more. They could carry emotion and help stories flow, as well as your editing process. From our very first plugins (Impact Push) to the full suite you know today, every tool was designed with the editor’s vision in mind.
What we didn’t anticipate was the incredible community that would form around Film Impact. Your feedback, your creativity, and your support pushed us to constantly innovate. Some of you have been with us since day one, and this milestone belongs just as much to you as it does to us.
What This Means for You
Here’s the practical side of things:
- Integrated in Premiere: Starting with Premiere 25.5, the full Film Impact collection is included right out of the box.
- Seamless Transition: If you’re using an older version of Premiere, your current Film Impact license will continue to work for at least 12 more months.
- No extra costs: Film Impact subscription renewals will be automatically turned off within the next 30 days. There will be no further payments or renewals moving forward.
This gives you plenty of time to transition at your own pace while exploring the new, fully integrated Film Impact inside Premiere.
