How we started
Founded by Jaap H. Boerhof in 2010, Film Impact has been at the forefront of delivering premium video plugins and transitions for Adobe Premiere. Our journey began when Jaap, a self-employed video editor with years of expertise, realized the need for innovative solutions that could enhance the video editing process.
In 2010, he introduced the groundbreaking Impact Push plugin, revolutionizing the way transitions were applied. This marked the beginning of a series of innovations as he continuously pushed the boundaries of video editing.
Two years later, we launched Transition Pack 1, captivating editors with a versatile collection of video transitions. The positive response encouraged us to expand our offerings, and a lot of releases followed.

Jaap H. Boerhof started with a profound understanding of Computer Science and Drama Teaching, combined with a passion for storytelling and an appreciation for the technical aspects of video editing. Over the years, Jaap's pursuit of excellence led to a quest for new talent. In 2018 he welcomed developers Martijn, Carl and Marieke to the team. This allowed Film Impact to fuel innovation and expand support for various platforms and services.
